Wilichowski, Aloysius B. (2 AUG 1921 - 27 APR 2010)
Aloysius B. Wilichowski, 88, Marathon, died Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Kennedy
Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston. He was born August 2, 1921 in
Marathon, son of the late Frank and Lucy (Koppa) Wilichowski.
Aloysius was a veteran of the United State Army and served his country during
World War II. For many years, he worked as a custodian for the former Milwaukee
County Hospital until his retirement. He was a member of the Catholic Order of
Foresters and the American Legion Alois Dreikosen Post #469, Marathon.
Survivors include eight siblings, Ruffin (Dorothy) Wilichowski, Marathon, Edwin
(Mary Ann) Wilichowski, Marathon, Virginella (Alphonse) Mroczenski, Wausau,
Arthur (Marjorie) Wilichowski, Rogers, Ark., Darlene Blaskowski, Wausau,
Christina (Jerome) Martin, Weston, Elizabeth (Ray) Karlen, Edgar and Sister
Laverne Wilichowski, Prescott; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Wilichowski, Wausau
and Lorraine Wilichowski, Maple Grove, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, David, Alfred,
Anthony, Clarence and Gerald.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010 at St.
Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will
be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Cassel with military honors conducted by the
American Legion Post #469, Marathon. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 a.m.
until time of services at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon.
