Frane, Roger D. (6 SEP 1953 – 14 SEP 2018)
Curtiss - Roger D. Frane, age 65, of rural Curtiss, passed away with his loving
family by his side on Friday, September 14, 2018 at his home under the tender
care of hospice.
Family and friends are welcome from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday,
September 18, 2018 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford.
Interment to follow at the Pine Hill Cemetery in the Town of Mayville.
Roger was born on September 9, 1953, the son of Donald and MaryAnn (Michlig)
Frane in Marshfield. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School and graduated from
Colby High School. On September 15, 1978, Roger was united in marriage to Laura
Hawkey.
Roger owned the Railroad Antique Mall in Marshfield. He had a green thumb and
loved plants and gardening. Roger also loved the outdoors, watching and feeding
the birds with his many birdhouses. He also collected McCoy Pottery since he was
a young man.
Roger is survived by his wife of 40 years, Laura; three children: Cindy (Diana
Bacon) Frane of Monticello, Lisa Frane/Balderas of Dorchester and Eric Frane of
Owen; one grandson, Derek Balderas of Abbotsford. He is further survived by nine
brothers and sisters: Gene (Barb) Frane, Gary (Yvonne) Frane, Allen (Carol)
Frane, Darlene (Dan) Schneider, Karen Jakel, Joe (Linda) Frane, Janice (James)
Kilty, Julie (Sergio) Navarro and Cathy (Joe) Clement; many nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
