Blasel, Daymond “Bud” R. (19 DEC 1990 - 14 SEP 2018)

Daymond “Bud” R. Blasel, 27, of Stetsonville, died on Friday, September 14, in the Town of Brighton, Marathon County, the results of a motorcycle accident.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 19 at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Stetsonville, with Pastor Richard Russow officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, Stetsonville.

Pallbearers are Jon Stahl, Kyle & Michael Tlusty, Nick, Ben & Jeremy Blasel.

Visitation will be at the Hemer Funeral Home, Medford from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, September 18 and also at church from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 19.

Bud was born on December 19, 1990 at Marshfield, WI, to David & Betty (Gojmerac) Blasel. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School, Medford, Medford Area Public Schools and was a 2010 graduate of Medford High School.

After his education, he worked and resided in Madison for a few years. He then returned to the area and worked as an apprentice carpenter for area contractors. He also did work on the family dairy farm in the Town of Little Black. He enjoyed all motorcycles, especially dirt bikes, animals, especially his dog-Clyde, his pickup truck, music, attending concerts, Badger football, Badger basketball, doing field work & spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Stetsonville; and the Carpenters Union.

He is survived by his parents, David & Betty (Gojmerac) Blasel of Stetsonville; Paternal Grandmother – Ilaine Blasel of Medford; siblings Jayson Blasel of Stevens Point, Heather (Patrick) Kehoe of Wausau, Peter (Heather) Blasel of Medford, Heidi (Jon) Erl of Medford; nieces and nephews Goddaughter – Shelby Blasel, Alexis Blasel, Hanna Blasel, Virginia Erl, Jack Kehoe, Charlie Kehoe, Thomas Kehoe.

Bud is predeceased by his grandparents Elmer Blasel, George & Darlene Gojmerac; and an unborn baby sister.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to the family for a future designation.
