Ross, Evelyn M. (Hartman) (8 FEB 1927 - 14 SEP 2018)
Evelyn M. Ross, 91, of Medford, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018 at
Aspirus Care and Rehab.
Evelyn was born on February 8, 1927 to Joseph and Selma (Borman) Hartman in
Medford, WI. She attended Medford area grade schools. She married Willis T. Ross
on July 3, 1946; he preceded her in death on October 31, 2012. Together Evelyn
and Willis worked on the homestead, where she was also a homemaker. They also
owned and drove bus for 27 years.
In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking and cooking, and picking
berries. Evelyn was a long time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Gary (Marsha) Ross of Owen, Ronald (Shelly)
Ross of Eau Claire, Bruce (Sandra) Ross of Medford, and Joanne (Neil) Wegerer of
Westboro; 11 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She
is further survived by her sisters, Dottie Clark of Medford, Marcie Poirier of
Medford, Betty Huebner of Colorado Springs, CO, and Sister Marie Hartman of
Milwaukee and sister in law Connie Schmidt of Stetsonville.
In addition to her husband and parents Evelyn is preceded in death by her
brothers, Ray, Clint, Bud, and Lester, and sister Mable Zenner.
A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at
Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Phil Juza officiating. Burial will take
place at a later date. Visitation will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Church
on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Evelyn's name may be given to Holy
Rosary Catholic Church.
Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake has been entrusted with
arrangements.
