Parker, Donna Jean (Ellis) Sholes Schluter (17 JUN 1930 - 18 SEP 2018)

Donna Jean Schluter Parker, 88, of Owen, WI died on Tuesday, September 18th at her home under the care of Hope Hospice.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, September 30th at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Withee with the Rev. Tom Myhre officiating. Friends are invited to celebrate Donna’s life with her family immediately following the funeral at the Meadowview Golf Course in Owen, until 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to St. John’s Church in Withee WI in Donna’s name.

Donna was born on June 17, 1930 to Elmer and Lillian (Mohr) Ellis in Rock County, WI. She graduated in 1948 from Janesville High School.

She is survived by daughter, Sandy (Mike) Sobzack of Sarasota, FL; daughter-in-law, Sue (Larry) Sholes of Owen, grandchildren/great grandchildren, Heather (John) Simpson of Eagan, MN and daughter Kristine Simpson of St. Paul; Becky Sholes of Roberts, WI; Brad (Anne) Sholes and daughters Hadley and Grace of Caledonia, IL; Brian (Nicole) Sholes and daughter Beatrice of St. Paul, MN; brother, Elmer “Kete” (Darlene) Ellis of Janesville, WI; two sisters in law, many nieces and nephews and family members of deceased husband, Harold Parker.

Donna was preceded in death by her three husbands, Kenneth Lawrence Sholes, Janesville WI in 1962, Leonard F. “Whitey” Schluter, Owen WI in 1975 and Harold Lee Parker, Owen WI in 2013; two sons, Larry Sholes, Owen WI in 2013; Bob Sholes, Medford WI in 2018; great grandson Zachary Sholes, Medford WI in 1994, parents and siblings Charlotte Ellis, Earnie (Jean) Ellis, Louise (Donald) Shekels, Orville (Marilyn) Ellis, Gilbert (Marilyn) Ellis, all of Janesville, WI.

The family would like to express thanks to the entire team at Hope Hospice in Medford. Their impeccable care, love and support during the past three months has been a sincere gift and blessing….we are extremely grateful for each and every one of you!
