Miss Marilyn Jean Sachs and Roger Anthony Perzinski exchanged wedding vows at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Thorp on July 31, 1971.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Sachs, Route 1, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Perzinski, Route 1, Stevens Point.

The Rev. R.W. Olson and the Rev. William Matzek officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony. Candace Horn was soloist and John Sachs, brother of the bride was organist.

The bride, given in marriage by her mother and father, wore a gown of rosepoint lace and organza, fashioned with cavalier sleeves and a mandarin neckline. A mantilla formed the train of the gown, sweeping in to chapel length. She carried a cascade of red roses and carnations.

Miss Diane Jacks was maid of honor, and Diane Hanson was bridesmaid. They wore maize chiffon gowns with a harmonizing band of satin accented by a flat bow, encircling the Empire waistlines. Harmonizing floral clusters were place in their hair, and they carried crescent bouquets of yellow roses and white carnations.

Richard Baltzell served the bridegroom as best man. Gary Perzinski, brother of the groom, was groomsman, and Leonard McCord and Neale Ward were ushers.

A dinner and reception were held at the American Legion Hall in Thorp after the ceremony.

The bride, a graduate of Thorp High School and State College of Beauty Culture, is employed at the Golden Hairpin. The groom, a graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School, is employed by E.A. Perzinski Potatoes. The couple will live at Evergreen Villa, Stevens Point.

Guests attended the wedding from Bancroft, Stevens Point, Arnott, Plover, Thorp, Stanley, Greenwood, Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, and La Crosse, and from Chicago, Barrington and Waukegan, Illinois.

Prior to her marriage the bride was honored at a surprise shower given by her bridesmaids in the home of her parents, and a surprise shower given by his Godmother in the home of his parents in Stevens Point.
