Brandl, Marianne (28 AUG 1971)
St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Auburndale was the scene for the marriage of Miss
Marianne Brandl and Gerald Frese on Saturday, August 28, 1971. Reverend Joseph
M. Wagner performed the 12 noon marriage ceremony. St. Mary’s choir sang, with
Sister Thelma as organist.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Walter Brandl, Auburndale, and Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Frese, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white empire styled gown of
organza over taffeta and train. Her veil of nylon tulle was attached to an
aurora borealis crown, and red and white roses made up her bouquet.
Mrs. Kenneth Brandl was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Donald
Brandl, Miss Janet Gergs and Miss Betty Pankratz. They wore empire gowns of
polyester crepe in colors of hot pink, blue, yellow and lavender. Each carried a
round bouquet of matching carnations.
James Brandl was best man, and groomsmen were Donald Brandl, Larry Frese, and
Frank Jacques. Ushers were Kenneth Brandl and William Dollen.
A supper was given at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church dining hall at Rozellville,
and a reception and dance were held at Fahey’s Ballroom in Rozellville.
The bride attended Auburndale High School and the groom attended Reseburg State
Graded and Thorp High School. After a wedding trip to the Western states, they
will make their home on route 1, Thorp. The groom is employed with the Clark
County Highway Department.
Wedding guests were from Waukegan, Milwaukee, Arpin, Lublin, Withee, Thorp,
Cadott, Menasha, Gilman, Chicago, Chili and St. Paul.
