Army Private First Class Edward I. Sladich, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ignatius C.
Sladich, route 2, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), recently received the Bronze Star
medal while serving with the 101st Airborne Division (Airmobile) in Vietnam.
He was presented the Bronze Star medal for distinguishing himself through
meritorious service in connection with military operations against hostile
forces in Vietnam. The medal, adopted in 1944, recognizes outstanding
achievement.
Pfc. Sladich received the award while assigned as a rifleman in Company E, 1st
Battalion, 506th Infantry of the Division.
