Josef and Stanislava Nowak purchased their farm n 1918 as polish immigrants. The
farm came with 80 acres at the time, which has continued to grow over time as
success resulted in farm expansions. In 1941 Felix Nowak took over the farm. He
and his wife Bernice Lis ran the farm together with their two children,
Geraldine and Christine. Today Christine Nowak and Joe Wincek farm the land,
which has expanded to 350 acres.
The Nowak farm was one of 123 that were inducted into the: Century Farm family
on Tuesday, August 7 at the Wisconsin State Fair in West Allis. Since the
beginning, more than 9,470 farms have withstood the test of time to achieve this
prestigious status and recognition.
