Karlen, Lynn M. (Michalewicz) (27 SEP 1957 - 21 SEP 2005)
Lynn M. Karlen, 47, 868 Vine Court Road, Marathon, died Wednesday, September 21,
2005, after fighting a long and courageous battle against cancer for three
years.
She was born September 27, 1957 in Wausau, daughter of Stanley and RoseAnne
(Cooney) Michalewicz, Wausau. On June 6, 1981 she married Ronald Karlen at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cassel. He survives.
Lynn was a dietary aide at Mount View Care Center for five years. She enjoyed
gardening, crocheting, sewing, reading and watching Packers and Brewers games at
home. Always a fan of going camping with her family, she looked forward to
cooking out at whatever campsite they were at. Lynn was the type of person who
enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved babysitting for many area children. Above
all things in life Lynn was a very special wife, mother and friend who will be
deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors besides her husband and parents, include her children, Krystal and
Larry Karlen, Marathon, her siblings, Sally (Jerry Artus) Michalewicz, Marathon,
John (Theresa) Michalewicz, Newnan, Ga., Karen (David) Caviggiola, Chassel,
Mich., David Michalewicz, Edgar, Kathy (Randy) Jansen, Marathon and Richard
(Linda) Michalewicz, Edgar mother and father-in-law, Alex (Lorraine) Karlen,
brothers and sisters-in-law, Myron (MaryAnn) Karlen, Marjean (Jim) Nowack,
Lynette (Don) Hieronimus, Patricia (Ed) Kryshak, Michael (Roxanne) Karlen,
Beverly (Mike Sommer) Behnke along with many nieces and nephews.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2005 at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cassel. The Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 4 to 8
p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon and again on Sunday from
Noon until the time of services at the church.
