Dulek, Veronica (27 AUG 1903 – 24 NOV 1971)
Mrs. Veronica Dulek, 68 years of age, died Wednesday, November 24, 1971 at St.
Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, after a short illness.
She was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 27, 1903 and in early childhood
moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sokolowski, to the Town of Reseburg
(Clark Co., Wis.). On May 12, 1925 she was united in marriage to Leo Dulek at
Thorp.
She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society of St. Bernard's Parish,
Thorp, and the National Catholic Society of Foresters.
The Christian Mothers Society held a rosary service at 3:00 p.m. on Friday,
November 26, 1971, and the parish rosary was held at 8:00 p.m. on the same day.
Funeral services were held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church on Saturday,
November 27, 1971 at 10:00 a.m. Father Brockman officiated at the funeral mass.
Burial was made at St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery, Thorp.
Mrs. Dulek is survived by her husband, Leo; two daughters, Mrs. Lorraine M.
Thompson of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Rosella Alger, Thorp; three sons,
Ronald of Milwaukee, Clarence of Albert Lea, Minnesota, and Master Chief Wilbur,
U.S.N. of Oak Harbor, Whidbey Island, Washington; 20 grandchildren, one
great-grandchildren, and one brother, Lee Sokolowski of Thorp.
