Stangret, Michael (10 SEP 1885 – 01 DEC 1971)

Michael Stangret, 86, Stanley, died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls Wednesday morning. He was born in Poland September 10, 1885, and came to the United States when he was 12. He lived most of his life in Stanley.

He was married to Elmyra Quesnell September 30, 1914, in Stanley.

Funeral services were at Holy Family North Catholic Church in Stanley at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, with the Rev. Joseph Marx officiating. Burial was made in St. Mary's Cemetery, Stanley.

Survivors include two sons, John, Minneapolis and Casper, Thorp; six daughters, Mrs. Warren Jacobs, Chippewa Falls, Mrs. Abel Espenoza, San Francisco, California, Mrs. Norman Samplowski, South Bend, Indiana, Mrs. Frank Sime, Minneapolis, Mrs. Mary Alice Filipek, Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Emil Trubac, Thorp; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, Casper, Stanley and Edward, Tucson, Arizona; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Janicki and Mrs. Sophie Mnlkololcik, both of Stanley, Mrs. Helen Kaleta and Mrs. Agnes Jaskoviak, both of Philadelphia.
