Hansen, Helen (11 OCT 1881 – 13 DEC 1971)
Mrs. George W. (Helen) Hansen, 90, Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.), died at 10:40
a.m. Monday at the Marshfield Convalescent Center, where she had resided the
past two years.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Polnaszek Funeral Home,
Abbotsford, with Reverend F.H. Sprengler, pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church,
Dorchester, officiating. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.
The former Helen Deforth was born October 11, 1881, in Manitowoc. Shew as
married February, 20, 1901, in Thorp, to George W. Hansen, who preceded her in
death. She had resided in Owen for a time, and with her son in Abbotsford prior
to entering the Marshfield Convalescent Center.
Survivors include three sons, George, Abbotsford, Alfred, Owen, and Harold
Marshfield; two daughters, Mrs. Gus (Ella) Gorsegner, Thorp, and Mrs. John
(Regina) Kummer, Medford; 22 grandchildren, and 59 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and two
sisters.
