Stroinski, Walley C. (27 JUN 1895 – 13 DEC 1971)
Walley Clara Stroinski, 76, passed away December 13, 1971 at Victory Memorial
Hospital, Stanley, of a lingering illness. Funeral services were held at St.
Mary's Assumption Polish National Catholic Church, Lublin, on Thursday, December
16th. Reverend Roman Misiewicz and Reverend Anthony Matle of Mosinee officiated
at the ten a.m. service, with interment being made in the parish cemetery. Mass
servers were: Daniel and Allen Stroinski, grandsons, and Robert Ogurek, nephew.
Judy Stroinski, a granddaughter, was the organist.
Pallbearers were: Stanley Kaszubowski, Eugene Zakrzewicz, Steve Shewczyk, Albert
Skaleski, Frank Dus, and Walter Szymoniak.
Walley Clara Ogurek was born June 27, 1895 in Chicago. She moved to the Thorp
area, Taylor County from Chicago with her parents in 1902 at the age of 7, and
resided here since. The past four years she was a resident of Sunset Homes at
Stanley. On October 25, 1921, at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), she was united in
marriage to Joseph Stroinski, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, Edward J. Stroinski, Thorp, daughter-in-law, Irene; 5
grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alois A. Ogurek and Mayland
A. Ogurek, both of Thorp; three sisters, Barbara L. Ogurek and Mabel Kazmierski,
both of the Thorp, and Leona W. Lemanski of Milwaukee. She was also preceded in
death by her parents, Andrew and MaryAnn Ogurek.
