Marcotte, Janice A. (Marriage – 26 April 1975)

Marriage vows were exchanged Saturday, April 26, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, by Janice A. Marcotte, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Trunkel, Jr., of Willard and Michael Weyhmiller of Loyal. The Rev. Chester Osowski officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Loyal American Legion Hall.

The bride carried a colonial bouquet of pink roses and star flowers with ivory baby’s breath and ivory lace ribbon as she was presented in marriage by her father. Her ivory A-line gown of organza over satin was styled with lace sleeves, a lace standup collar and lace-trimmed bodice.

Colonial bouquets of pink daisies, ivory carnations and baby’s breath with pink streamers complimented the long-sleeved, pink and white flower-flocked ivory crepe gowns of the bridal attendants. Miss Karen Lipor, Racine, was the maid of honor and Miss Sue Nelson, Edina, Mn., and Miss Krista Kroll, Stevens Point, were the bridesmaids.

Attending the groom were Duane Poehnelt, Loyal, as bestman and Robert Weyhmiller, Ripon, and Gerald LaBarge, Milwaukee, as groomsmen. Randall Thimmesch, Manitowoc, and Keith Weyhmiller, Loyal, seated guests.

Guitar and organ music at the wedding included the selections “The Wedding Song” and “I Believe.”

The bride was honored at pre-nuptial showers given by Eva Severson, Krista Kroll, Karen Lipor and Gladys Thimmesch.

A 1969 graduate of Greenwood High School and a 1973 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the new Mrs. Weyhmiller is employed as a medical technologist at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Her husband, who graduated from Loyal High School in 1968, is employed at a tire service in Loyal. The newlyweds will live in Marshfield.
