Brandvold, Paul (7 JUN 1906 – 31 DEC 1971)
Paul Brandvold, 65, died suddenly at his home Friday.
He was born in Stanley (Chippewa Co., Wis.) June 7, 1906, and attended schools
there. He was married August 16, 1933 to Elizabeth Van Zutphen at Onamia,
Minnesota, and the couple lived in Minneapolis for about 10 years.
After returning to Stanley, he started the Stanley Tire Shop and operated it for
29 years, retiring in June 1971. Mr. Brandvold was active in civic and community
affairs, and was instrumental in organizing the Stanley Golden Spur Club.
Survivors include one son, John, Stanley; two daughters, Mrs. Donald Temp, Coon
Valley, Wisconsin, Mrs. Daniel Netwal, Onalaska; six grandchildren; five
brothers, Thomas, Ragnar and Norman, all of Minneapolis, Melvin, Missoula,
Montana, Elroy, Stanley; and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Deauchamp, Minneapolis, and
Mrs. Charles Colburn, Eau Claire.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family North Catholic Church.
