Manier, Clifford (10 JUN 1893 – 24 JAN 1972)
Clifford Manier, age 78, resident of route 3, Stanley, passed away Monday
morning, January 24, 1972 at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley.
He was born June 10, 1893 in Indiana, and came to the Town of Worden (Clark Co.,
Wis.) when he was five years old. On March 11, 1913 he was married to Bessie
Ulrey. They farmed in the Worden area until he retired in 1960.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie; four sons, Jacob of Stanley, William of
Sheridan, Indiana, Perry of North Hollywood, California, and Orville of Stanley;
eight daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Marie) Olson of New London, Wisconsin, Mrs. Roy
(Marjory) Olson of Loyal, Mrs. G. (Bernice) Schneider of Chicago, Mrs. W.
(Verna) Pue of Marshfield, Mrs. Robert (Laura) Hatfield of New London, Mrs. Joe
(Emily) Horban of Stanley, Mrs. Evelyn Jobey of Chicago, and Mrs. Don (Betty)Tate
of Hortonville, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents, five
brothers, two sisters, and one son.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Brethren in
Stanley, with Reverend Larry Moreland officiating. Burial was in the Worden
Cemetery.
