Koltis, Josephine (30 NOV 1892 – 13 JAN 1972)

Josephine (Kosnowicz) Koltis, 79 years of age, a resident of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.(, died January 13, 1972 at the Colby Nursing Home of a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig's Church, Monday at 10:30 a.m.. Father John and Father Will officiated. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

She was born on November 30, 1892 IN Poland, and came to America as a young girl. She was married to the late Anton Koltis on May 8, 1912, moving to Thorp, where they resided on a farm. The last few years she was living with her oldest son until she entered the Colby Nursing Home because of illness.

She was the mother of 14 children, six daughters, and eight sons, Sister Kathleen, Thorp, Genevieve Lewrenez, Marshfield, Leonoradi Bogue, Chicago, Adella Abramczuk, Chicago, Harriet Sniderski, Chicago, Hales Frinack, Thorp, Edward, Thorp, Ben, Owen, Walter, Thorp, Frank, Colma, California, Ted, Hillside, Illinois, Adolph, Thorp, Joseph, Thorp, and Jerry, Chicago. She leaves to mourn also, 22 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Edward Koltis Jr., Thorp, Ernest Koltis, Onalaska, David Bogue, Chicago, Kenneth Koltis, Owen, Wayne Koltis, Hillsdale, Illinois, and Patrick Frinack, Thorp.
