Nowicki, Vilas S. (15 DEC 1915 – 28 JAN 1972)
Vilas S. Nowicki, formerly of Chippewa Falls, passed away at the University
Hospital at Madison, January 28, 1972.
He was born December 15, 1915 (?) in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), son of Stephen and
Josephine (Boinski) Nowicki. He was employed as an electrician in various
locations in the state of Wisconsin.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. David Nivison of Detroit, Michigan,
Jacqueline Nowicki, a student at Viterbo College at La Crosse, Miss Rita Nowicki
of Greenwood, Wisconsin, and Violet Nowicki of Altoona; one son, Stephen Nowicki
of Altoona; five sisters, Mrs. Lottie Przybylski of Thorp, Mrs. Stella Oniscznik
of Owen, Wisconsin, Mrs. Delia Michalik of Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Francis
Pawlicki of River Grove, Illinois, and Mrs. Leona Nightengale of Lake Zurich,
Illinois, and one brother, Anton Nowicki of Thorp. He was preceded in death by
his parents, three sisters, and one brother.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Notre Dame Church, with
interment made in the Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
Pallbearers were: Wm. Przybylski, Thorp, Roger Stoflet, Auburndale, Bernard
Flunker, Chippewa Falls, Francis Schmidt, River Grove, Illinois, and Florian
Przybylski, Thorp.
