Stasila, Andrew (14 FEB 1884 – 2 FEB 1972)
Andrew Stasila, 87, passed away at the Colonial Nursing Home, Colby, on
Wednesday, February 2, 1972 of cardiac arrest. Funeral services were held at St.
Bernard's Catholic Church Saturday, February 5. Father Francis Brockman
officiated at the ten a.m. service, with burial being made in the parish
cemetery. Pallbearers were members of the Polish National Affiliate of Thorp.
Mr. Stasila was born February 14, 1884 in Rademann, Poland. He came to the
states in 1906, residing in Chicago, Lublin and Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). On
January 15, 1915 he was married in Chicago to Mary Staniec, who preceded him in
death in 1966.
He is survived by one son, Casey Stasila of Thorp; one daughter, Jeanne, Kramer
of Homewood, Illinois; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was
also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
