With a work history that’s firmly grounded in the private sector - as a business owner and accountant - Dan Grady may not seem like the first person to want a job in municipal government.

Abbotsford’s new city administrator, however, says his desire to work in the public sector has actually been there for quite some time. He sat down for a short interview on Monday, his fist day.

Relocating to Central Wisconsin will also allow his son, seven-year-old Liam, to be closer to his grandparents and other extended family. Grady’s wife, Jen, grew up in Loyal with the maiden name Weiler. His mother-in-law still lives in Loyal, and his wife’s father and two sisters live in Neillsville.
