Susan A. (Goltz) Hager, age 74, of Stanley, WI passed away unexpectedly on
Monday, October 15, 2018 at her home.
She was born June 28, 1944 the daughter of Johannes and Laura (Kohls) Goltz in
Cornell, WI. Susan was raised in Cornell and attended Cornell High School. After
high school she worked hard on her dairy farm and raising her 7 kids. She later
attended and graduated from C.V.T.C with degrees in Nursing and Accounting.
Susan loved sewing, crocheting, embroidering, and watching her Packers and
Brewers. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors camping and fishing, but most
of all She loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by her Children - William Hager, David Hager Jr., Daniel
(Nicole) Hager, Joyce (Mark) Malison, Carrie (Kevin) Krall, Roxann (James)
Canfield, and Wendy Hager-Rogers; Grandchildren – Johannes (Lindsey) Malison,
Joshua (Brittany) Canfield, Kenneth Hager, Isaiah (Cheyenne Taylor) Pecha,
Thomas Hager, Pamela Hager, Rudy Hager, and Jocelyn Hager; Great Grandchildren –
Faith Hager, Blake & Ruby Malison, and Aria Canfield; also Brother – Wilfred
(Joanna) Goltz, Sister – Elaine Phelps, and many nieces and nephews.
Susan is preceded in death by Husband – David Hager Sr., Grandson – Jacob Mathew
Hager, Sisters – Alma Hanson, Eleanor Goltz, Brothers – Orville Goltz, Harvey
Goltz, Johannes Goltz Jr., Brothers-in-law – Ken Hanson, Gerald Phelps, also
Sisters-in-law – Loretta Goltz, Helen Goltz, and Evelyn Goltz.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, October 20,
2018 at the Borton-Leiser Funeral Home in Cornell, WI, with Deacon Ned Wilkom
officiating.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service on Saturday at
the funeral home.
A private family interment will be at the Cornell Cemetery at a later date.
