Quednow, Franz “Frank” K. (25 SEP1933 - 13 OCT 2018)
Franz “Frank” K. Quednow, age 85, of Rib Lake, WI, passed away on Saturday,
October 13, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was born on September 25, 1933, in Rib Lake to the late Adalbert and Anna
(Witz) Quednow. He was married to Betty Heiser on September 28, 1957, she
survives.
Frank was raised in Rib Lake where he attended the former Fawn Valley School. He
later served in the United States Army. Frank worked on the dairy farm and was
formerly employed at the Gem Product Shoe Factory and Magnuson’s Mink Ranch. He
was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening, hunting, and bowling. He spent many
hours playing cards with family and friends.
Survivors include his Wife, Betty Quednow; 2 Sons, Greg (Dawn Krueger) Quednow,
and Paul Quednow; 3 Daughters, Brenda (David Figge) Ball, Bonnie (Jim) Linzmeyer,
and Barbara (Jim) West. Frank is further survived by 12 Grandchildren, Justin,
Nicholas, Nathan, David, Karl, Monica, Elizabeth, Michael, James, Armand, Erin,
and Dominic; 9 Great-Grandchildren; and 6 Step-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Adalbert and Anna; 6 Brothers, John,
Edward, Joseph, Albert, Anton, and Aloysius; and 4 Sisters, Mary Fuchs, Anna
Finch, Katherine Stams, and Hattie Rohr.
Funeral Services for Franz Quednow will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018,
at 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake. Rev. Otto Bucher
will officiate. The family will receive friends for Visitation on Friday,
October 19, at the church, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Saturday,
from 10:00 AM until the time of Services at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Frank’s family for a
designation at a later date.
