Marine Corporal James A. Mueller, route 1, Colby, recently participated in
Operation Pipestone Canyon in Vietnam.
The operation was conducted by the First Marine Division to find enemy forces
and destroy their capability to stroke against the Da Nang area.
His unit is also engaged in a civic action program designed to assist the
Vietnamese people in completing self-help projects, such as as the building of
wells, culverts, small bridges and schools. Equipment and material are made
available through the Marine Corps Reserve Civic Action Fund.
