Demuth, John J. "Jack" (13 MAR 1942 – 22 OCT 2018)
John "Jack" J. Demuth, 76 of rural Gilman, died Monday, October 22, 2018, at
Traditions of Thorp under . the care of St. Joseph's Hospice.
He was born on March 13, 1942, in Burlington, Wisconsin, the son of the late
Robert & Katherine (O'Brien), Demuth. Jack's family moved to the Gilman area in
1957 and farmed. He graduated from
Gilman High in 1961.
Jack farmed in the Gilman area and worked road construction. He purchased his
land on the Yellow River and resided there, enjoying the ponds he built and
working on his many projects until ill health forced him to leave, and then he
moved to Traditions in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) for the past year.
He is survived by his brother, Tom (Alice) Demuth of Gilman; three sisters:
Jeanette Bullis of Union Grove, Joan Rademaker of Amery, and Patricia (Gerald)
Olejnichak of Medford; one sister in law, Marjorie Demuth of Union Grove; and
many nieces, nephews and friends. Jack is preceded in death by his parents; a
brother, Robert; and two brothers-in-law: Charles Bullis and Neal Rademaker.
A memorial visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 28th, 2018,
at the Gilman Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery,
Gilman at a later date.
