Lindberg, Phyllis Arlene (Miller) (25 MAY 1930 - 2 JUN 2009)
Phyllis Arlene Lindberg, 79, Ogema township, Prentice, died June 2, 2009, at
Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home in Phillips.
She was born May 25, 1930, in Prentice, the daughter of Francis and Tillie
(Pearson) Miller. As a young girl she moved to Milwaukee with her family. She
was a 1948 graduate of Rufus King High School in Milwaukee. She was married to
Donald Lindberg in Milwaukee on May 14, 1955.
She was employed by the M & I Bank and then later by the Bank of Jackson in
Jackson until the time of her retirement in 1985. She and Don made their home in
Prentice following their retirement. She was a member of First Lutheran Church,
Ogema. In her free time she enjoyed spending time outdoors, traveling, was
involved with her church, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and
friends.
She is survived by her husband Donald; by five children: John (Lynn), Waukesha;
Glenn (Jeanne), Cedarburg; Jayne (Paul) Bodenbach, Union, Ky.; Keith (Mary),
West Bend; and Patti (Dan) Rathke, Jackson; by 14 grandchildren and one
great-grandson; by one sister Rena Willett, Prentice; by two sisters-in-law; and
by one brother-in-law.
She was preceded in death by one sister and by four brothers.
Funeral services were held June 5 at First Lutheran Church, Ogema, with Pastor
Robert Giese officiating. Interment was in Garden of Memories Cemetery in the
town of Hill.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Prentice, assisted the family with arrangements.
