The Rev. Emil Hodnik, pastor of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Abbotsford, has returned from a three week vacation.

Father Hodnik left on July 4, 1969 with a group of former nationalist of Yugoslavia and flew via Amsterdam to Ljubljana, Yugoslavia. He spent some time with his brother, John, who is a teacher in the atomic energy program at the university there. On Sunday, following his arrival, he officiated at the marriage of his niece, Miss Ines Hodnik, and Ignace Vok, both university graduates with a major in architecture.

He also spent some time at his birth place with his sisters, Marie and Terese, and his 90 year old aunt.

Father Hodnik found the standard of living about the same as in the U.S., with much construction going on with all the modern conveniences. He noted good but narrow paved roads and found the excellent buss ervice much more comfortable than that of the small foreign cars, and the speed at which the natives drove them.

The regular schedule of daily masses at St. Bernard's has been resumed, mass at 7:30 a.m., and on the First Friday of every months, an addition mass at 8:00 p.m.
