Zupanc, Joseph A. "Joe" (4 JAN 1949 – 26 OCT 2018)
Loyal - JOSEPH A. "JOE" ZUPANC, JR., age 69, of Loyal, passed away at home, on
Friday, October 26, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday,
October 31, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Loyal. Rev. Leo Stanislaus
will officiate, and burial will follow in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Tom Smith, Brian Timm, Derek Miller, Clyde Schultz, Joe
Meacham and Brandon Miller. Visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic
Church, on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm, and again at the church,
on Wednesday, from 10am until time of service.
Joseph Adam Zupanc, Jr. was born on January 4, 1949 in Willard, WI, to Joseph A.
Sr. and Mary B. (Richards) Zupanc. He was raised in Willard until 1954, at which
time his parents bought a farm and moved to Loyal. After graduating from Loyal
High School in 1967, Joe moved to Milwaukee and worked at West Allis Concrete.
He was united in marriage to Beverly G. Nelson on June 20, 1970 at St. Anthony
Catholic Church, in Loyal. In 1973, Joe and Bev moved back to Loyal and took
over his family's home farm. Joe farmed and expanded the 80-acre farm to 247
acres. In addition to farming, Joe also started his own trucking, bulldozing and
construction business.
Joe was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. When he wasn't working, which
he loved to do, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly, of Loyal; 2 sons: Travis (Christine) and
Troy (Shannon), both of Marshfield; 8 grandchildren: Tjaden, Austin, Dymond,
Ashley, Ember, Exton, Evers and Justice; one brother: Timothy Zupanc; 2 nephews:
Josh and Timmy Zupanc; aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and many friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: David Michael Zupanc; and
his father and mother-in-law: Walter and Vernell Nelson.
