Krauss, Barbara “Bobbie” L. (Graveen) (22 NOV 1940 - 28 OCT 2018)
Barbara “Bobbie” L. Krauss, age 81, of Colby, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 28,
2018, at Wells Nature View under the tender care of hospice in Marshfield.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at
Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Family and friends are welcome
from 11 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Interment
will take place at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Westboro at a later date.
Bobbie was born on Aug. 26, 1937, the daughter of Bernard and Genevieve (Evans)
Graveen in Wausau. She graduated from West Allis High School. On June 30, 1962,
Barbara was united in marriage to Harold Michael Krauss in Milwaukee. He
preceded her in death on June 6, 1985.
Bobbie worked as a reservations agent for Capital Airlines, raised her children
in Germantown before moving to Dorchester and purchasing the Krauss’
Supermarket. She also worked at Hardees and in the food service at Colonial
Nursing Home. Bobbie loved to crochet, knit, read and was an avid Packers fan.
Most importantly, she loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
She was famous for her pretty pink cheesecakes.
Bobbie is survived by three children, Jennifer Krauss (Brett Machon) of
Dorchester, Larry (Penny) Krauss of Sparta and Katie (Robin) DeLonay of Merrill;
ten grandchildren, Seth (Sheala) Pinter, Alexander (Ashley) Pinter, Eric Pinter
(Emma Zmolek), Natasha (Justin) Flock, Jasmine Lee (D’Marcus Simmons), Gabrielle
“Ellie” Krauss, Andrew Krauss, Evan DeLonay, Amanda (Russ) Godleske and Maggie
(Jack) Gordon; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her
sister, Sally (Jim) Jastrzebski of West Virginia; a sister-in-law, Lisa Graveen
of Pewaukee; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, William
“Bill” Graveen.
Bobbie’s family would like to thank the staff at Marshfield Medical Center and
