Sauer, Eunice (16 AUG 1969)

Miss Eunice Sauer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Sauer of route 2, Colby (Clark Co., Wis.), and Nicholas Kleparski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Kleparski of Abbotsford, exchanged wedding vows Saturday, August 16, 1969, at a 1 p.m. ceremony at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Colby. Father Francis Rushman performed the ceremony. Miss Anne Matagynski was the organist. The soloist was Miss LaVonne Swaenepocl.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

The maid of honor was Miss Suzie Morrow of Virginia Beach. The bridesmaids were Miss Janie Weinfurtner of Marshfield, Miss Sandra Kleparski of Abbotsford, and Mrs. Lucille Kleparski of Marathon. Miss Sharon Kappel served as flower girl.

James Kleparski of Marathon was the best man. Groomsmen included Clifford Sauer of Colby, Richard Kralcik and Rodney Schreiber, both of Athens. Roger Sauer of Colby acted as page.

Ushering duties were performed by Donald Fierke of Stetsonville and Edward Kappel of Stratford.

The bridal gown was of delicate rosepoint type lace with chapel train, styled with a set in molded empire bodice accented by a narrow band of peau trimmed with a bow. The scalloped scoop neckline was outlined with border lace and the long sheer lace sleeves tapered to the wrists. The A-line skirt and full cage back, which extended into the train, was also hemmed with border lace. She wore a train mantilla of illusion bordered with lace secured to a small pill box. The bride carried an arm bouquet of white antheriums and tie leaves. For the traditional "something old" the bride wore her maternal grandmother's ruby engagement ring.

Her attendants wore identically styled floor length chiffon mock coat formals of chiffon and lace. The fitted empire bodice of lace had a scoop neckline. Satin bows trimmed the shoulders. The A-line skirts, semi-coat and full cage back were of chiffon and were all in the same shade of Nile green. They wore French profile headpieces of layered flat sheer bowed trimmed with dainty floral sprays, all in the same shade of green as the dresses. They carried white lace fans arranged with white and yellow carnations.

A reception, dinner and dance followed at the Trianon Ballroom. After a wedding trip to the northwestern states, the couple will be at home at route 1, Unity.

The bride is a graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing, Marshfield. Her husband is a 1964 graduate of the Abbotsford High School. He is presently employed as a cheesemaker at Roselawn Cheese Factory at Colby.
