Hollman, Mr./Mrs. Richard (Silver – 2 SEP 1969)
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hollman celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on
Sunday, August 31, 1969.
A mass was said for them at St. Mary's Catholic Church (Colby) at 10:45 a.m. by
the Rev. Francis Rushman. A buffet dinner at 3:30 p.m. was served at the home
for the relatives, and in the evening a dance for relatives was held at the
Cherokee Hall. A three tiered diamond shaped anniversary cake and lunch were
served.
Richard Hollman and Mathilda Rankel were married at St. Mary's Church on
September 2, 1944, by the Rev. Leo J. Lang. They have spent all their married
years farming.
Four of the attendants were present for the occasion, namely, Miss Helen Rankel
and Mrs. Carl (Irene Rankel) Schulze, Chicago, George Rankel, Colby, and Henry
Coates, Thorp. The two other attendants, Mr. and Mrs. Gus (Pauline Rankel) are
deceased.
The white orchid corsage and carnations worn by Mr. and Mrs. Hollman were
presented to them by their daughter, Sharon, R.N., Milwaukee. They have four
other daughters, Misses Marlene and Jean Hollman, Wausau, and Mary Lou and Peggy
Sue at home. All the children were present.
