Timm, Fred E. (22 JAN 1892 – 8 SEP 1969)
Funeral services are being held this morning, September 11, 1969, for Fred Elmer
Timm.
The services will be at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby. The
Rev. Francis Rushman will officiated, and burial will be made in St. Mary's
Cemetery. A general rosary was said Wednesday evening.
Mr. Timm died Monday noon, September 8, 1969, at River Holls Nursing Home at
Pewaukee, following a series of strokes.
The Lulloff Funeral Home of Colby is in charge of the arrangements.
Fred Elmer Timm was born at Lincoln, Nebraska January 22, 1892. When he was
seven, the family moved to Walworth County, and at the age of 12, to a farm in
the Athens (Marathon Co.) area.
His marriage to the former Violet Roder took place October 29, 1924 at St.
John's Catholic Church at Wurzburg. The couple lived on a farm near Athens after
their marriage. In 1937 they moved to a farm near Abbotsford, and in 1947, to a
farm in the town of Frankfort (Marathon Co.).
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby.
Surviving are a son, Fred J. Timm of Colby, and three daughters, Mrs. Steven
(Eunice) Lord of Miami, Mrs. Marvin (Nadonus) Altschwager of Menomonee Falls,
and Mrs. Floyd (Vergene) Brunke of Miami.
There are fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild surviving. A sister,
Mrs. Joseph (Edith) Wirkus of Edgar, also survives.
