Davis, Eldred (3 April 1900 – 11 May 1975)
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton,
for Eldred Davis of Neillsville who died early Sunday morning, May 11, at the
age of 75. The Rev, William G. Noble of the United Methodist Church officiated,
and interment followed in the Windfall Cemetery.
Mr. Davis was born April 3, 1900, at Granton and was educated in Town of York
schools. He was married in Granton on July 25, 1923, to the former Myrtie
Peaslee; they were later divorced. Mr. Davis lived in the Granton area until
1969 when he moved to Neillsville.
Survivors include two sons, Warren Davis of Granton and Marvin Davis of Plato,
Mo.; four daughters: Mrs. Robert (Angeline) Schultz and Mrs. Bernard (Patricia)
Kitzhaber, both of Greenwood, Shirley Davis of Granton and Mrs. William (Ila)
Wolf of Nekoosa; one sister, Mrs. Lila Hubing of Neillsville; and 22
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
