Baehr, Robert (3 OCT 1905 – 15 SEP 1969)
Funeral services for Robert Baehr, 63, a former resident of the town of Mayville
(Clark Co., Wis..), were held Friday, September 19, 1969 at Hope Lutheran Church
in Chicago. The Rev. Victor Lemke officiated at the rites, and burial was made
at Fairmont Cemetery, Chicago.
Mr. Baehr died Monday, September 15, 1969 in Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital in
Chicago of complications following the heart surgery he had undergone five weeks
previously.
He was born October 3, 1905 in the town of Mayville, where he also received his
education. He was married in August 1936, at Chicago, to Pauline Schraff. He was
employed at International Harvester Company for 33 years, until 1967, when he
retired due to ill health.
Mr. Baehr was a veteran of World War II, having served two years overseas in the
European theater of operations.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Beverly) Booth; four
sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Amanda) Brown of Cudahy, Mrs. George (Frieda) Phelps of
Marinette, and Misses Leona and Clara Baehr, both of Milwaukee, and two
brothers, William of Manhattan, Kansas, and Arthur of the town of Mayville.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
