SN Ronald Kiefer has returned to San Diego, California, after spending a 10 day
leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kiefer. He has been assigned to
overseas duty in Vietnam. While he was here Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Kiefer of
Menomonee Falls also spent a weekend at the Ray Kiefer home.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Calmes of Wausau were supper guests Tuesday of last week at
the home of Mr. and Mr.s George Calmes. They all visited in the evening with Mr.
and Mrs. Francis Seubert and Mr. and Mrs. Terry Seubert, rural Dorchester.
Mr. and Mrs. Vern Steffen had her brother, Elmer De Noble, with them from
Saturday to Monday, a week ago. They went to get him and took him back to the
Veterans Hospital at Tomah, where he is receiving treatment.
Mrs. Lorena Ziebarth and Richard spent Tuesday and Wednesday of last week at
Chippewa Falls with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mr.s Frank Tichey,
and brother, Frank Liebke.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Behnke of Waupaca spent Tuesday with her brother-in-law and
sister, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Steffen.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hackel and Mr. and Mrs. William Hackel of Colby were dinner
guests Sunday at Eau Claire, at the Don Smith home. Mrs. Smith is a daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. William Hackel.
