Sterzinger, Frank G. (1 AUG 1904 – 04 OCT 1969)
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, October 7, 1969 for Frank
Sterzinger, 65, of Colby (Clark Co., Wis., who died early Saturday morning at
St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
The funeral services were held at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with
Father Francis Rushman officiating. Burial was made in St. Mary's Cemetery.
The Lulloff Funeral Home of Colby was in charge of the arrangements, where a
parish rosary was said Monday evening.
Frank George Sterzinger was born in Marathon County on August 1, 1904. His
marriage to Adena Bandow, who preceded him in death, took place in 1926. In June
1939 he married Violet Stumpf, who survives.
Mr. Sterzinger lived his entire life in the Colby area. For many years he worked
at the Colby Cheese Box Company, and also operated a farm.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic congregations.
Surviving, besides his wife, are eight children, Ambrose, Bill and Tony, all of
Colby, Robert, who lives at Superior, James, who resides in New York, and
Sylvester, Mary Ann and Herbert, all at home at Colby. There are 25
grandchildren.
Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Lena Sterzinger, two brothers, George and
Arthur of Colby, and a sister, Mrs. Ferdinand Jicinsky of Unity.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and a sister.
