Hoffmann, Robert J. "Bob" (10 JUN 1942 – 6 NOV 2018)
Abbotsford - Robert J. "Bob" Hoffmann, age 76, of Abbotsford, passed away on
Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Aspirus Medford Hospital.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018 at
First Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford. Rev. Marcia Thomas will officiate.
Family and friends are welcome from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Monday at
the church. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with
the arrangements.
Bob was born on June 10, 1942, the son of Jerome and Elizabeth (Weber) Hoffmann
in Marshfield. He graduated from Marshfield Columbus High School. On October 23,
1965, Bob was united in marriage to Karin Schraufnagel in Abbotsford.
Bob worked as a heavy equipment operator in sewer and water construction. He
also owned and operated Bob's Texaco in Abbotsford for several years.
Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and woodworking. He was active in civic
organizations including the Jaycees. Bob enjoyed watching his grandson
participate in all his sporting events. Most importantly, he cherished his
family.
Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years, Karin of Abbotsford; three children:
Cory Hoffmann of Stratford, and twins, Rodney Hoffmann of Abbotsford and Glynis
Hoffmann of Marshfield; his grandson, Cole Hoffmann and two step-grandsons,
Anthony and Tanner Balz. He is further survived by 13 brothers and sisters:
James Hoffmann, Joan (Bill) Schmoll, Ann Rucker, Susan (Steve) Kromanaker, Marge
(Ken) Zepplin, Russell Hoffmann, Michael Hoffmann, Ken (Kerry) Hoffmann, Karen
(Alan) Krause, Richard (Kim) Hoffmann, Paul Hoffmann, Cheryl Amacher and Mary
(Gordon Jr.) Wix; a sister-in-law, Pam Bardole; many nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Don and a sister in infancy;
three sisters-in-law: Sue Hoffmann, Susan Hoffmann and Tracy Hoffmann; two
brothers-in-law: Tom Rucker and Brian Amacher.
