Ellman, Clarence Henry (12 JUL 1927 - 4 NOV 2018)
Clarence Henry Ellman, 91, Kennan, died in the Wausau Aspirus Hospital in Wausau
on Sunday, November 4, 2018.
He was born on July 12, 1927, in Kennan, Wisconsin, the son of Anton and
Caroline (Schwartz) Ellman. He was married to Dorothy Bauer on February 14,
1987, in Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Catawba. He operated a dairy
farm in the Town of Kennan and later in life worked as a woodworker. Among many
other works, he was known for his glider rockers. He was a member of Saint Paul
the Apostle Catholic Church of Catawba, of the Kennan-Catawba Knights of
Columbus and also of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, and of the
Catawba-Kennan Lions Club. In his free time he enjoyed listening to polka music,
gardening, woodworking, and family get-to-gathers.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; by five step-children, Connie (Joe) Boho,
Wausau, Debbie (Ron) Langstaff, Aurora, IL, Paul Bauer, Catawba, Tim (Kim)
Bauer, Catawba, and Wendy (Shane) Will, Wausau; by 7 grandchildren and two great
grandsons; and by two sisters, Marie Keller, Lansing, IL, and Rita (Walter)
Kuznar, Apple Valley, MN.
He is preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Walcisak, Antoinette Ellman, and
Lorraine Ellman.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 10, at Saint
Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Catawba with Father Gerald Hagen celebrating
the Funeral Mass.
Interment will be in the Kennan Cemetery in Kennan. Friends may call at the
church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
