Stockheimer, Joan Mary (Bornbach) (2 MAR 1934 - 11 NOV 2018)
Joan Mary Stockheimer, age 85, of Stratford passed away on Nov. 11, 2018, in the
Palliative Care Unit at Marshfield Medical Center surrounded by her loving
family.
To honor Joan’s wishes, no formal services are scheduled, however, her children
are inviting family and friends to gather for a time of visitation and sharing
of memories at Life Tributes Funeral Home-Spencer on Thursday, Nov. 15, from 4
p.m. until 7 p.m. and again on Friday, Nov. 16, from 10 a.m. until noon. A lunch
will follow. A private committal service will be held in Saint Andrew’s Cemetery
in Rozellville at a later date.
Joan was born on May 30, 1933, at home in the Town of Day to John and Eleanora (Linzmeier)
Bornbach. Joan was a devoted wife and homemaker. She did numerous volunteering
for St. Andrews Church in Rozellville and farmed 140 acres until her retirement
in 2004. She enjoyed outdoors, gardening, cooking, working with flowers, and
playing sheephead with her card buddies. Her favorite passions were reading,
playing piano music, listening to polka music and polka dancing.
Joan is survived by her children, Rita (Jim) Post of Milladore, Helen (Dan)
Zeman of Marshfield, Steve (Sandy) Stockheimer of West Salem, Al Stockheimer of
Milladore, David (Kim) Stockheimer of Tomah, Ken Stockheimer of Stratford, Sally
(Mike) Lang of Marshfield, Karen (Ron) Pachniak, Laura (Ralph) Aschebrook, Barbi
(Marty) Moe of LaCrosse and Gary (Melissa) Stockheimer of Neillsville.
Joan is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-grandchild: Tina (Kyle) Zimmerman and children Dominic and Haley;
Lisa (Pete) Ames and children Kendra, Molly and Braxton; April (Pat) Binder and
daughter Stacy; Joe Post and children Eli, Jasmine (and her daughter Adalynn);
Dan (Donna) Post and children Kyler and Alexis; Ben Stockheimer and children
Kyla, Lyla and Adakin; Micki Skwierczynski, Mandy Skwierczynski and daughter
Eli; Kait (Dalton) Venden, Kristin (Joe) Kenowski; Noah Stockheimer; Crystal
Stockheimer and children Dawson, Drezden and Diara; Jake Stockheimer and
daughter Desi; Jessica (Aaron) Stone; Casie Rock and son Daxton; Justin Lang;
Amber (Tyler) Diercks and children Carter and Rylee; Ryan Pachniak, Josh (Liz)
Pachniak and daughter Scarlett; Alysa (Ben) Schlueter; Casey Aschebrook; Martin
Moe; William Moe; Taylor (Brushon) Cottrell and Terren Stockheimer.
She is further survived by her brothers, Alvin (Betty) Bornbach, Orville (Helen)
Bornbach, Eugene (Genevieve) Bornbach, David (Donna) Bornbach, Jarold (Kathy)
Bornbach, James (Joan) Bornbach; a sister, Delores Bornbach; and brother-in-law,
Art Schallock.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward; her parent, Eleanora and John
Bornbach; a sister, Alice Schallock; a great-grandson, Isaac Franz; five
brothers-in-law, Norbert, Joseph, Ray and Tony; and two sisters, Anna Marie
Kress and Agnes Kaiser.
Her family is accepting memorials in Joan’s name for a charity to be determined
later.
The family wishes to thank everyone at the Pallative Care Unit for the excellent
and caring services they provided to Joan.
Her arrangements are under the care of Life Tributes Funeral Home-Spencer.
