Dale, Shawn Michael (12 October 1960 – 3 November 2018)

Shawn Dale, 58, of Marshfield was called home Nov. 3, 2018, to the Lord after complications with his ongoing fight with brain aneurysms.

Shawn Michael Dale as born Oct. 12, 1960, in Napa, CA, the son of Stanley and Patria (Saunders) Dale. Shawn lived for a time in Florida and operated his own tattoo shop for 14 years, where he cultivated long-time friendships. He was an exceptional tattoo artist. Shawn had a deep fondness for veterans; whenever they would come to his shop, their tattoos always had deep discounts. He would love to sit with them and hear their stories.

Shawn loved children and loved to teach them to draw, and he made the best kid-friendly grilled cheese, toasted bread with a slice of cheese. Who needs a frying pan?

He is survived by his mother, Patria; his son, Jesse; two sisters: Elaine and Nica (Jim), and one brother, Stan; as well as nieces and nephews.

Shawn will have cremation at Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you give thanks to those who give the gift of life through organ and tissue donations.
