Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Langteau of Abbotsford announce the approaching marriage of
their daughter, WAC SP5 Karen M. Langteau, to SP4 John L. Mattheus, son of Mrs.
Robert S. Mattheus, now of Greer, South Carolina, and the late Robert S.
Mattheus Sr.
They will be married Saturday, November 1, 1969 at the home of an aunt and uncle
of Mr. Mattheus, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Edwards, 136 Clarke Avenue, Greer, South
Carolina, where his mother resides.
SP5 Langteau graduated from Abbotsford High School in 1967 and enlisted in the
WAC that same year. She is an intelligence analyst at the J.F. Kennedy Center at
Ft. Bragg, North Caroline. SP4 Mattheus attended Stuebenville High School and is
serving with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. For the
present they will live close to Fort Bragg, where they will be stationed until
their discharge in 1970 for SP5 Langteau, and 1971 for SP4 Mattheus.
