The Rev. Bervie A. Scott, pastor of the Colby and Spencer United Methodist
Churches since 1970 will begin a new appointment June 15, 1974 at the Lowell and
Juneau United Methodist congregations. The announcement was made her by Bishop
Jesse R. DeWitt at the Wisconsin United Methodist offices. The Bishop announce
that, as of June 15, the Rev. Gilbert Keith Schroerlucke will become the
Colby-Spencer pastor.
The Rev. Schroerlucke received the Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from
DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana, and the Master of Divinity degree from
Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary, Evanston, Illinois, in 1974. During
the past year he has served as the Student Assistant at Faith United Methodist
Church, Milton Junction, Wisconsin.
Schroerlucke was active in the Christian Action Movement at DePauw, and received
the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Honorary award.
Rev. Scott served as a member of the North Central District Council on
Ministries and on Conference Boards of Evangelism and Christian Social Concerns,
in addition to community involvement.
