Volovsek, Mr./Mrs. Alphonse (Silver – 1 Jun 1974)
The 25th Wedding Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Volovsek of route 1,
Willard (Clark Co., Wis.), was celebrated Saturday evening, June 1, 1974, with a
Mass for their intention at 8:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. A
party was held Sunday, June 2 in the afternoon and evening at the couple's
residence for relatives, friends, and neighbors. Music was provided by Frank and
Patria Pakiz, LaVerne Gregorich and the Richie Yurkovich Trio. An anniversary
cake was made by Lois Herkert of Marshfield, and was a replica of the original
wedding cake.
Miss Virginia Ann Herkert and Alphonse F. Volovsek were married June 1, 1949 at
a 9:00 a.m. Nuptial High Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield by
Father Edward Hartung. The couple have been engaged in farming at Willard since.
Their children, Roger, Donna, and Debra reside at home, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald
Volovsek and Kyra at Route 1, Willard, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Volovsek and
Heath at Franklin, Wisconsin. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Herkert, Marshfield, and Mrs. Anna Volovsek, Willard, and the late Frank
Volovsek.
