Dennis Naedler, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Naedler, Jr., Route 1, Granton (Clark Co., Wis.), will be representing Clark County 4-H clubs in Sweden from June 17 – August 1, 1974. Dennis is a member of the Romadka 4-H Club of Granton.

On June 17, Dennis will travel to the National 4-H Center in Washington, D.C. for two days of orientation before leaving for Sweden on a 4-H IFYE Caravan.

The 4-H IFYE Caravan consist of twelve 4-H members from the United States between the ages of 17 and 19. These 4-H members will live with a host family during their stay in Sweden, in a province, which is located north of Stockholm. Dennis, along with the other IFYE Caravaners, will arrive in Sweden during the Swedish Midsummer Fest, which is a national Swedish Holiday.

While in Sweden, Dennis will learn how 4-H club work is organized in Sweden and how this compares to 4-H club work in the United States. Dennis stated that he would also like to learn about Swedish agriculture and Swedish culture. Dennis will also be busy developing sister 4-H clubs in Sweden with 4-H clubs from Clark County.

Upon his return to the United States in August, Dennis will meet with local 4-H clubs and describe his travels in Sweden, and also prepare a newsletter which will be sent to all county 4-H programs in the state of Wisconsin.

Dennis' trip is sponsored by the National 4-H Foundation, in cooperation with Clark County 4-H clubs and the following Clark County business:

Wuethrich Foundation, Neillsville Farmers Union Cooperative, Citizens State Bank of Loyal, Neillsville Bank, People Exchange Bank of Thorp, Chili Branch of Central State Bank of Marshfield, Production Credit Association of Neillsville, and Greenwood Homes of Greenwood.
