Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Bellinger of Waupaca autoed up Saturday for a short visit
with friends here. The rain Sunday made the roads so muddy, however, that they
decided to return home with the train.
A chimney fire at the McDonnell residence near the high school occupied by the
Johnson family looked for a while as if it would be necessary to send in an
alarm but it was soon put out without damage.
