Dusheck, Janet Anna (Sazama) Brill (21 MAR 1931 - 14 NOV 2018)
Janet Anna Brill Dusheck, age 87, of Colby, passed away November 14, 2018 at the
House of the Dove with family by her side, and previously was at home under the
loving care of Ministry Home Hospice and her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Saint
Mary Help of Christian Parish in Colby at 11:00 A.M. Father Joseph Redfern will
officiate. A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at church
from 9:30-10:45. Interment will be held at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery next
summer.
Janet was born March 21, 1931 to Marcella Murray and later adopted by Paul and
Mary (Shenk) Sazama of Colby. Janet was united in marriage to John Brill on June
6, 1951 in Colby, WI. Together they raised nine children; Diane (Gene) Orth of
Colby, Steve Brill of Billings, MT, David (Kathy) of Colby, Pat (Sue) Brill,
Spencer, WI, Brian (Kalynn) Brill, Mike (April) Brill, Phillips, WI, Kim (Scott)
Meier, Chadron, NE, Jim Brill, Colby, and Jayme (Meesun) Brill, Las Vegas, NV.
Janet later married Duane Dusheck of Cresco IA, on October 26, 1996.
Janet was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Parish in Colby and a member of St
Mary’s Christian Mothers. Janet loved working on the farm, gardening, canning,
baking, traveling, and most of all enjoyed spending time with her children and
grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her children: Diane, Steve, David, Pat, Brian, Mike, Kim,
Jim and Jayme; 21 grandchildren: Benji (Heather) Orth, Craig (Terra) Orth, Chara
(Adam) Stange, Jana (Brian) Strasburg, Jason (Megan) Orth, Lindsey Brill, Alexis
(Andrew) Matney, McKenzie Brill, Ross Brill, Kelly Brill, Sheyla, Amberly,
Jonny, Keira, and Eric Brill, Arianna, Alliesha, and Emmett Brill, Hanna,
Amelia, and Maxwell Meier; 13 great-grandchildren: Jaylyn and Wyatt Orth, Kylie,
Colton, Kierslyn, and Cashton Orth, Nola Stange, Elle Strasburg, Layden, Brynn,
and Corbin Orth, and Bradon Allen. Brother, Donald (Margaret) McCormick, brother
in law Raymond Kiefer and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Janet is preceded in death by her husband John Brill and husband Duane Dusheck,
her parents, her sisters in law: Leona Brill, Betty (Whyman) Hassel, Mary Ann
(Bill) Stacke, and Delores Kiefer.
The family of Janet want to extend a special thank you to Ministry Hospice and
House of the Dove caregivers.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Mary’s Parish or school,
Marshfield Medical Research Foundation, Marshfield Ministry Home Hospice or
Marshfield House of the Dove.
