Aumann, Irban R. (21 JAN 1934 – 18 NOV 2018)
Irban Raymond Aumann, age 84, of Marshfield, died on Sunday, November 18, 2018
at the House of the Dove, Marshfield. He was born January 21, 1934 in
Neillsville, son of the late Henry and Agnes (Langreck) Aumann. On June 1, 1953
he married the love of his life, Leona Bentzler, who survives. Irban & Leona
recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Also surviving are his sons
Joe (Kris) Aumann of Loyal, John (Cathy) Aumann of Granton, and daughter Shelby
Schiller of Ripon; 6 grandchildren Peter, Emily, Sarah, Ryan, Derek and Maryssa;
6 great-grandchildren Kellan, Keegan, Payton, Kaden, Ryker and Kenley; sisters
Caroline Miller and Doreen Mrotek, brother Henry Aumann Jr. and many nieces and
nephews.
Irban graduated from Loyal High School in 1951. After graduation he worked for a
roofing company in Milwaukee for a few years. He enlisted in the United States
Army for 6 years and was stationed in Germany and France. After coming back from
the Army, Irban owned and operated Aumann Aluminum Sales, now owned by his
grandson, Ryan, as the 3rd generation owner. In the late 70's he became a sales
agent for American Family Insurance until 1988, when he decided to retire, spend
more time with the love of his life, cars and antiques. He then built another
business, Loyal Windshield Repair, which he owned until the 1990's.
Irban loved antiques and old cars. He refurbished many old cars, built an old
filling station, replica of a train station, and water tower on his farm located
east of Loyal, picking up old signs and memorabilia from all over the country.
Irban and Leona donated the train station and water tower to the Loyal
Historical Society on Hwy 98. This is now named the Irban & Leona Aumann &
Family Train Museum.
Irban belonged to many clubs and organizations such as the Loyal Lions,
President & Vice-President of the Loyal Chamber of Commerce, charter member and
officer of the Loyal Historical Society and various committees at St. Anthony's
Catholic Church in Loyal. He has also been a very devoted member of St. John the
Baptist Catholic Church in Marshfield for the past 13 years.
Irban was very proud of his family and loved to give everyone a hard time.
Visitation will be at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 East Veterans
Parkway, Marshfield on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 pm with a
Knights of Columbus Rosary Service at 6:30 pm. The funeral service will be held
at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 201 South Blodgett Street, Marshfield
at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 with calling hours one hour prior.
Lunch will follow at the Eagles Club in Marshfield. Burial will follow at St.
Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Loyal.
He was preceded in death by two sons; Don and Mike, his parents Henry & Agnes, 2
brothers Louie & Clarence, and 2 sisters Clara & Jeanette.

(1000 W 11th St, Marshfield, WI 54449). The family would like to extend a very
special and heartfelt thank you to the staff at the House of the Dove for
helping our husband, father, and grandfather walk into the arms of the Lord.
Another special thank you is givento Father Martin and Father Barry for being
there in our time of need. Irban was loved very much by his family and friends
and will be greatly missed by all.
