Irban Raymond Aumann, age 84, of Marshfield, died on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the House of the Dove, Marshfield. He was born January 21, 1934 in Neillsville, son of the late Henry and Agnes (Langreck) Aumann. On June 1, 1953 he married the love of his life, Leona Bentzler, who survives. Irban & Leona recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Also surviving are his sons Joe (Kris) Aumann of Loyal, John (Cathy) Aumann of Granton, and daughter Shelby Schiller of Ripon; 6 grandchildren Peter, Emily, Sarah, Ryan, Derek and Maryssa; 6 great-grandchildren Kellan, Keegan, Payton, Kaden, Ryker and Kenley; sisters Caroline Miller and Doreen Mrotek, brother Henry Aumann Jr. and many nieces and nephews.

Irban graduated from Loyal High School in 1951. After graduation he worked for a roofing company in Milwaukee for a few years. He enlisted in the United States Army for 6 years and was stationed in Germany and France. After coming back from the Army, Irban owned and operated Aumann Aluminum Sales, now owned by his grandson, Ryan, as the 3rd generation owner. In the late 70's he became a sales agent for American Family Insurance until 1988, when he decided to retire, spend more time with the love of his life, cars and antiques. He then built another business, Loyal Windshield Repair, which he owned until the 1990's.

Irban loved antiques and old cars. He refurbished many old cars, built an old filling station, replica of a train station, and water tower on his farm located east of Loyal, picking up old signs and memorabilia from all over the country. Irban and Leona donated the train station and water tower to the Loyal Historical Society on Hwy 98. This is now named the Irban & Leona Aumann & Family Train Museum.

Irban belonged to many clubs and organizations such as the Loyal Lions, President & Vice-President of the Loyal Chamber of Commerce, charter member and officer of the Loyal Historical Society and various committees at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Loyal. He has also been a very devoted member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Marshfield for the past 13 years.

Irban was very proud of his family and loved to give everyone a hard time.
