The 17th annual Family Reunion of the late Frank and Albertina Mellenthin of Spencer was held at Powers Bluff on August 4, 1974. A potluck lunch was held.

The committee for 1974 were Mr. Raymond Mellenthin, Rockford, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Mellenthin, Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Master of ceremonies was Oscar Mellenthin of Beaver Dam. The committee for 1975 are as follows: Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Krause, Beaver Dam, Mr. and Mrs. James Krause, Watertown; Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Luepke, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Krause, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Klein, Florida; Mr. and Mrs. Russel Klein, Spencer, and Mr. and Mrs. Ardell Klein of Marshfield.

Door prizes were awarded and prizes were awarded to children for guessing games. Recognition was given to Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Cramer of Spencer for their Golden Wedding Anniversary in July, and also Denny Thomas, whose birthday was on August 4.

The family tree was portrayed. This tree is being taken care of by Miss Sylvia Neumann of Beaver Dam. She is a great-granddaughter of the late Mellenthins. She also read the minutes of the last meeting.
