Stowe, John (1 JUN 1889 – 13 AUG 1974)
John Stowe, 85, R. 1, Unity (Clark Co., Wis.), died at 10:50 p.m., Tuesday,
August 13, 1974, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at United Methodist Church, Loyal
(Clark, Co., Wis.), with the Rev. Eugene Carlson officiating. Burial took place
in the Beaver Cemetery.
Mrs. Robert Prior was soloist, with Mrs. Ruth Zepplin as organist.
Pallbearers were all grandsons, Edward Bushman, Steve Bushman, Gordon Delo,
Kevin Delo, Ervin Bitter, and Scott Bitter.
John Stowe was born June 1, 1889 in the Town of Beaver and received his
education in local schools. He farmed all his life in the Town of Beaver,
retiring in 1965. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
John Stowe is survived by his wife, Marian, three daughters, Mrs. Jerome
(Marjorie) Delo, R. 1, Loyal; Mrs. Al (Dorothy) Bushman, R. 1, Greenwood; and
Mrs. Melvin (Carol) Bitter, Jackson, Wisconsin; 21 grandchildren, and 11
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
The Rink Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of arrangements.
