Stumpner, Kenneth “Kenny” (23 JAN 1946 - 25 NOV 2018)
Kenneth “Kenny” Stumpner, age 72, of Unity, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday,
Nov. 25, 2018, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, at
Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. The funeral service will be held
at 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford.
Pastor Amy Heinz will preside.
Kenny was born Jan. 23, 1946, in Werner County, the son of Paul and Alvira
(Wachsmuth) Stumpner. He was united in marriage to Thea Thayer in 1967. They had
four wonderful daughters: Deana, Anna, Vicky and Claudia. They later divorced.
Kenny moved out to Wyoming for three years in the early 2000s. Kenny was a
hardworking man. He worked for the Greenwood feed mill, and then drove truck for
Provision Feed Mill.
Kenny loved the outdoors. He enjoyed cutting wood and gardening. He taught the
grandchildren to hunt and fish. Most importantly, Kenny loved spending time with
his girls and his grandbabies.
Kenny is survived by his four daughters, Deana (Doug) Pupp of Neenah, Anna
Stumpner of Mosinee, Vicky (Steve Funk) Thon of Fond du Lac and Claudia Stumpner
of Plover; 13 grandchildren, Megan (Lindsey Krake) Pupp, Melissa (Seth Johnson)
Pupp, Devin Pupp, Caitlin Pupp, Chloe Pupp, James Jakobi, Eric (Esther Mallak)
Jakobi, Mariah Schulrud, Jake Thon, Diondre Thon, Grace Stumpner, Cody Stumpner,
and Ryan Stumpner; and two great-grand-daughters, Amanda Van Handle and Lydia
Pupp. He is further survived by ten brothers and sisters, Kathleen Ryba, Mary
Jane Tracy, Barb Soback, Linda (Maurice) Sterken, Lila (Mick) Thayer, Carolyn
Smazal, Jenny (Bill) Schuette, Paul (Julie) Stumpner, Joe Stumpner and Cindy
(Doug) Hayes; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Eugene, Dale and Eddie
Stumpner; a sister, Isabelle Brenner; and many brothers-in-law.
